When you are tempted to cut a corner because nobody will know

Galatians 6:9

Do not grow weary in doing good, there is a harvest in due time.

When you are tempted to cut a corner because nobody will know. You can look completely fine on the outside while this is doing a number on you inside. The first feeling is not always the problem. The problem is what you let that feeling authorize. Fear can authorize control. Rejection can authorize chasing. Shame can authorize hiding. Exhaustion can authorize choices you would not make from a clear mind. Work matters, but it is a place of stewardship, not your source of identity. Jesus Christ is Lord in the office, the unemployment line, and the next chapter. The goal today is not to control the outcome. It is to stay aligned with Christ while the outcome is still unknown.

What would change if you stopped treating this moment like a verdict?

Jesus, I do not want an old pattern making today's decision for me. Renew my mind, steady my emotions, and lead me in truth. You are Lord here too. Amen.
